Andorra Climbing Frame

This tiny frame is designed for the smaller gardens on the market. This really is for the smaller gardens and young children.

  • Rockwall Ladder
  • Swings
  • Slide

Sun Bistro Climbing Frame

The small playset is small and low making it perfect for smaller children.

The playset has:

Slide

Swing

Chalk Canvas

Rockwall Ladder

Meadowside II Climbing Frame

This design has been called a few names in the past but is the version of the Meadowvale. The design hasn’t changed much and is great value for money.

The thin light wood makes it easy to move if needed. A slight fiddle to build and check bolts actually fit without the threads popping out to make it safe.

Always take the swings off the monkey bars before the kids climb. Having these up always raises the risk for the kids.

The climbing frame has:

Slide

Chalk Canvas

Monkey Bars / Swing

Rockwall Ladder

Meadowvale Climbing Frame

This frame is the bigger brother of the Meadowside. It has a trapeze bar and cargo net on the back.

This lightweight playset has many things coming from it and options. Make sure the children are small as this frame is light weight

Hazelwood Climbing Frame

The fun design climbing frame. Small frame and single swing beam but then with a separate monkey bar keeping the kids safer.

The low deck and lightweight wood make it perfect for the smaller gardens and tight space for the younger kids.

The monkey bars are very short, once a child can use them they will get into a habit of using the middle to swing straight across the gap.

This frame comes with:

  • Slide
  • Monkey Bars
  • Swing
  • Rockwall Ladder
  • Shop/ counter front

Sandy Cove Climbing Frame

This is almost the same playset as the Hazelwood climbing frame except it has the upgraded roof. We think the wooden roof is a good upgrade however for some reason they have taken the counter that was wooden and made that a canvas cheap finish.

When we get a small upgrade they seem to change other parts backward again but that’s what helps build a full range.

This has the extended swing as well, this adds another position which is used for the glider as well.

This climbing frame has:

  • Swing seats and glider
  • Wooden Roof
  • Shop Front
  • Monkey Bars
  • Slide
  • Rockwall Ladder
Rendle Climbing Frame

The Rendle climbing frame is the smallest of the Duchess and Perth collection. This is a strong little frame design if your garden is flat. This doesn’t have a swing or monkey bars so is limiting for the children’s play but does gain a cabin underneath to make a playhouse.

This climbing includes:

  • Wooden Cabin
  • Wooden Roof
  • Rockwall Ladder
  • Slide
Duchess Climbing Frame

This big sister of the Rendle playset. It gains another slide and that’s it from the Rendle.

So the Rendle and Duchess have the playhouse underneath and a wooden roof that is great features when built correctly.

This climbing frame comes with:

  • Wooden Roof
  • Playhouse
  • Rockwall Ladder
  • 2 x Slides
Perth Climbing Frame

The Perth climbing frame is a great mix of the Duchess and Rendle. This frame is exactly the same as the Rendle but has monkey bar swing attached.

The strange thing is that the monkey bars do not lead to the frame and leave the child dangling or having to return back again and turnaround as the frames do not seem to allow the fence panels to be removed for strength reasons we assume

Whats on this frame;

  • Monkey bar swing
  • Stools
  • Under cabin playhouse
  • Wooden Roof
  • Rockwall Ladder
Queensland Play Fort

The raised platform fort doesn’t offer much more than smaller frames other than a cuter look of it. The price of larger sets but offering thinner wood. It has rockwall ladder to a small balcony area to the slide then has the playhouse / cabin at the back.

This playhouse has:

  • Raised Platform
  • Playhouse
  • Ladder
  • Slide
Mint Climbing Frame

Mint Climbing frame is the Duchess with a swing and ticks the box.

The frame has swings a rockwall ladder onto the platform, double slide off the front. Swing on the side and a cabin with shop front type setup on the side.

This playset Includes:

  • Rockwall Ladder
  • Wooden Rood
  • Double Slides
  • Playhouse and bench
Elan Climbing Frame

The Elan Climbing Frame has Monkey bars from the back. The Rockwall ladder on the front and slide. Swings off the sides and playhouse underneath. The shop front and a bench underneath.

This climbing frame has:

  • Playhouse Underneath
  • Swing
  • Slide
  • Roof
  • Rock wall ladder
  • Wooden Roof
  • Monkey Bars
Your Title Goes Here

The Duke is the bigger set up to the Mint and Duchess. The Duchess is the double slide and no swing, the Mint has the swing and then along comes the Duke with the monkey bar swing.

The climbing frame includes:

  • Double Slide
  • Swing
  • Playhouse Cabin
  • Wooden Roof
  • Monkey Bars
RidgeView Deluxe Climbing Frame

The Ridgeview Deluxe is an all-round average sized smaller garden unit. This set is designed to be together and isn’t such a pick pack set as the last few frames

The smaller unit still is designed for the smaller kids and gardens with the thickness of wood and pieces. However, it does tick the boxes for most garden units.

The Climbing Frame Includes:

  • Monkey Bards
  • Wooden Roof
  • Cabin
  • Swings
  • Rockwall Ladder
  • Slide
Epic Climbing Frames

The Epic climbing frame is currently the entry level tube slide into the Selwood Range sold through Climbing Frames UK, It will have the majority of what you need, however the tube slide and design makes it more compact than some of the other frames. The slide will not need as much crash space and with the simple layout and not having monkey bars out the back and slide from the front it’s compact.

This Frame Includes:

  • Tube Slide
  • Wooden Roof
  • Cabin
  • Swing
Chiswick Climbing Frame

The Chiswick climbing frame is one of only a few on the market with a curved slide. Usually everyone has a straight slide, then the tube came out and during this time the half twist slide has come from Selwood in the last couple of years. Its often thicker plastic to the other slides on cheaper sets and supported on legs so make sure these are straight when installed or you will have problems.

This set includes:

  • Monkey Bars
  • Wooden Roof
  • Curved Slide
  • Stools
  • Counter
  • Playhouse
  • Rockwall Ladder
Hartley Climbing Frame

Hartley Climbing Frame is a great idea. The smaller unit but with the nice slide Selwood sell. usually, this slide is on the expensive sets. HOWEVER…… Selwood Products slide DOES NOT fit in the entrance of the frame so you do need to get the saw out and start cutting. Selwood Prides itself on sets for DIY install, which is funny considering how many we install and see broken and built incorrectly. Be careful how you cut the wood to get the slide installed though.

On a side note if you have a small garden and do have it cut nicely then everything is okay but you can break the playset easily if it’s not done correctly.

What’s on the playset:

  • Wooden Roof
  • Strong Slide
  • Playhouse
  • Rockwall Steps
  • Swing

Peak Climbing Frames

This is the first of the tube slide series from Selwood. The smaller frame and tube makes it more compact and more accessible for new build houses.

The frame has almost everything you can imagine. Tube slide, playhouse, monkey bars and rockwall ladder. The frame has a wooden roof as well rather than the cheap canvas.

What does this frame have:

  • Tube slide
  • monkey bars
  • rockwall ladder
  • playhouse
  • wooden roof
  • slide
Stonefield Lodge Cottage Climbing Frame

Moving into the large series of climbing frames from Selwood. The sets are almost double the platform size. All the photos are from the wide side front and back.

These frames are a little more significant than the square ones and smaller series. They are a little higher in the platform size. This has the heavy duty slide as well which fits into the space, unlike the Hartley Climbing Frame which is good news.

When we build this the front wooden slates never quite aline and seems someone hasn’t measured correctly the wood supplied against the gap given. Be careful when building you dont mess this up.

This frame has:

  • Heavy Duty Slide
  • Swing and Glider
  • Wooden Roof
  • Playhouse
  • Bench
Nova Climbing Frame

The Nova is part of the new series of frames. The sides come prefabricated. good if the ground is flat and level and building in the average unlevel garden show difficulty levels increasing.

Ladder at the front and slide makes it easy for kids to do continuous slides. Swings are the usual quality and shape and monkey bars are low and short so good for the smaller kids that can lift their own weight but at this size sometimes getting into the gap supplied can be tight.

Playhouse underneath has a little kitchen internal and is fully enclosed with little fake windows and working door.

This frames major point:

  • Kitchen
  • Monkey Bars
  • Playhouse
  • Wooden Roof
  • Swings
  • Tube Slide
  • Straight Slide
  • Bench

Skyline Climbing Frame

The Skyline climbing frame is another rectangle. The cabin underneath isn’t even fully enclosed. The back of it is open unlike the Nova climbing frame.

This frame does include a crows nest on top of the swing which can prove problematic with planning permission. Many planners allow the “raised platform” but sometimes the extra height of the platform would be intrusive for next door depending on your garden.

The Climbing frame has:

  • Raised Crows Nest
  • Tube Slide
  • Straight Slide
  • Half Cabin
  • Swings and Glider
Sandpoint Deluxe Climbing Frame

The Sandpoint deluxe has a full cabin underneath. Tube slide and used to have just a Sandpoint design that was cheaper without the cabin. We would always suggest the cabins as it makes the whole playset so much stronger.

This features a wavey rockwall which is a nice feature compared too the rockwall ladder which is pointless for the average kids.

Believed the picture on the site is the one we build for their photo shoots as well.

This climbing frame has:

  • Tube slide
  • playhouse
  • wooden roof
  • solid rockwall
  • steps
  • Stools
  • Shop front

Twin Mountain Climbing Frame

The Twin Mountain Climbing Frame has a tube slide and the heavy duty preferred slide from Selwood. This fits into the gap as well unlike the Hartley frame.

Not sure if this set even comes with the cabin like they show in many pictures. Seemed like an expensive upgrade which is worth it to keep the set straight and strong for longer term use.

The advertised sandpit, no underlay or top cover so does turn into a litter tray for cats and foxes.

What’s included within the frame:

  • Wooden Roof
  • Swing
  • Tube Slide
  • Heavy Duty Slide
  • Stools
  • Wavey Slide
  • Monkey Bar Swing
Selwood Climbing Frame Skyline and Monkey Bars

The Selwood Skyline climbing frame is the same set but another couple of hundred pounds for just some very small monkey bars. The set does have the higher platform on top of the swings which is fun for the kids to get fairly high but has proven difficult for some customers being caught without planning permission.

The Climbing frame has:

  • Raised Crows Nest
  • Tube Slide
  • Straight Slide
  • Half Cabin
  • Swings and Glider
  • Monkey Bars

We do a lot of installations for Selwood Products frames for customers. They do prove to take longer than many other manufacturers due to the box of screws, bolts, and attachments as you can see in the image on the box.

We have had some issues with a couple of customers who were asked to get a formal application for planning permission. Do speak to people living next door or who would be insight of the frame. We do Job rates and tend to crack on building while next door is telling us to stop and can cause arguments.

Last Customers Planning Issues

It was both of the platforms and also because the climbing frame was over 3m high. It’s Cannock council. If our neighbour wasn’t such a complete idiot, we could of gone ahead and put the climbing frame up without any problems. But knowing he would of contacted the council and complained, and then after contacting them ourselves and being told we would have to apply it’s just not worth paying the fee and then finding out 8 weeks later that then answer is a no, it’s just not worth it.
