The Duke climbing frame features a jam packed wooden play tower with a spacious play deck to climb to and double slides for kids to have hours of fun on. The Duke play frame also features the monkey bar swing set to the side of the play fort which includes a trapeze bar swing, a two seater glider swing plus a normal belt swing.
Like all of Selwood’s playsets, the Duke climbing frame is manufactured from cedar wood which is treated using a protective red stain to help preserve the wood and increase the life span of your climbing frame. The stain provides Selwood play frames with their distinctive rich orange colour which looks fantastic in any garden.
Selwood climbing frames are designed to stand on top of grass or a safety floor as they are not intended for being dug into the ground like playsets from some other manufacturers can be. Selwood play frames therefore require a flat area in your garden to ensure they are safely installed and stable enough for kids to play on.
The Duke climbing frame includes a wooden play fort which features a play deck for children to climb to which 
is sheltered by a wooden roof. Kids can climb to the play deck using the rockwall ladder at the back of the play frame which also includes a rope to help children climb to the play deck confidently and safely. The play deck is enclosed around the edge by wooden railings to keep kids safe but they can still see out across the garden. The play deck even features a chalk board on the back wall of the play fort for children to get creative on.
The rockwall ladder at the back of the playset caters to different climbing abilities as it features two activities in one. The rockwall part provides a challenging climb for older children if the hand and foot grips are solely used without the ladder steps. The ladder can help younger children or less confident climbers reach the play deck safely as it presents a slightly less challenging climb than the rockwall grips.
The wooden roof which covers the play deck provides shelter and protection for kids when inside the play fort. The roof will keep the play deck cool and shaded on hot summers days plus it also keeps the play deck dry in wet weather.
The two slides at the front of the climbing frame provide a great way for children to exit the play deck, and as there are two slides side by side children can race with their friends or siblings, and if many children are playing together they won’t have to wait as long for a turn on a slide.
Beneath the play deck is an enclosed wooden play cabin which is sheltered by the play deck and fully enclosed around the outside to create a play deck which kids will love and can play in whatever the weather! The lower playhouse features an opening at the back of the playset so children can get in and out plus it also includes windows at the front and side so kids can see out and light is let into the play cabin. The spacious playhouse has ample room for several children to play at once plus it also makes a great place to store other outdoor toys which would otherwise clutter up the garden.
To the side of the play fort is the combined monkey bar swing beam. This accessory is very 
popular not only in Selwood climbing frames, but also other manufacturer’s play frames. The combined monkey bar swing set is designed to save space in your garden but provide kids with even more fun in a small space. The monkey bar swing beam can offer two activities in the space of one so children can get more from the space in your garden.
The Duke play frame features a two seater glider swing, a trapeze bar and a single belt swing in the swing set. The trapeze bar is a fun way for kids to develop balance and strength on, while the two seater glider can encourage social play and help children learn to work as a pair.
