Installing the Westvale Climbing Frame from Selwood Products

The Westvale play frame from Selwood is designed with possible long thin gardens in mind, or mediClimbing Frame Installum to large sized gardens as it features a range of fun accessories. The Westvale is similar to the Meadowvale, the Windale, the Stonefield Cottage climbing frame, also from Selwood and more.

The Westvale climbing frame includes a brilliant selection of activities to keep children busy plus it also looks fantastic in any garden too. The Westvale playset features pretty sunburst detailing on the play fort and other details which add character to the play frame including windows for the upper playhouse.

The Westvale playset features a wooden play fort, with a play deck, a tarpaulin roof, a rockwall ladder, a slide, climbing rope, a swing set, a chalkwall and even space for a sandbox. This jam packed climbing frame will certainly keep boredom at bay and is a great way for children to get outdoors and stay physically active too.

Climbing frames from Selwood are pre-drilled and designed for self-assembly, however not everyone wishes to assemble their own climbing frame as it can be a time consuming job. Our experienced climbing frame installers are familiar with playsets from Selwood and many other popular climbing frame manufacturers so can build your climbing frame quickly and safely for you. Our team of playset installers specialise in the safe construction of children’s play frames so you can be sure that your play frame is safe to play on.

Selwood play frames are manufactured using cedar wood which is a high quality wood but slightly less robust than some other wooden climbing frames on the market. The cedar wood is smoothed down which ensures the play frame is safe to play on and the possibility of any splinters is greatly reduced. Smoothing down the wood also ensures that there are no parts with sharp edges used to construct the climbing frame. It is still a good idea to regularly check your climbing frame for splinters as they can appear with general wear and tear.

Climbing Frame InstallerThe Westvale climbing frame from Selwood features a wooden play fort which includes a wooden play deck for children to climb to. The spacious play deck is a great accessory which kids will love as they can get a great view across the garden and it also inspires lots of fun games and a sense of achievement when kids reach the play deck. The play deck is railed around the outside to keep little ones safe while playing plus it is covered by a waterproof tarpaulin roof. Not only does the roof provide protection from wet weather but it also shades the play deck on hot sunny days so kids can stay cool.

Children can climb to the play deck using either the rockwall ladder at the front of the climbing frame, or the climbing ropes at the back of the playset. The play deck also includes a chalk wall inside on the back wall for children to practice writing and drawing on, and even use for games and so on.

The rockwall ladder is designed as a step ladder and climbing wall in one to cater for diferent abilities and ensure that all children can reach the play deck safely. The rockwall grips on their own provide a challenging climb so more confident climbers can test out their strength and coordination on these if they like. The ladder steps are there as back up to reassure less confident climbers and help younger children build confidence and climb to the playdeck.

Also, the climbing rope at the back of the climbing frame provides a more challenging climb also. The climbing net is not rigid so moves when children are climbing which makes it more of a challenge but younger children will have something to grow into. Underneath the play deck there is the perfect space for a sandbox which can keep young children amused. A sandbox is a great addition to an outdoor climbing frame for younger children to get involved too. The sandbox boards are already in place around the base of the play tower so is easy to install.

The slide is fixed to the side of the play fort and provides an exciting way for children to exit the play deck. Slides are a very popular climbing frame accessory and the slide in the Westvale playset is moulded with high edges to help keep children safely on track all the way to the bottom.

On the opposite side of the play fort is the swing set. The Westvale’s swing beam features two flexible swing seats plus a two seater glider swing. The flexible belt swings are designed to keep children safely balanced as the swing holds onto children’s hips. The two seater glider encourages children to play together and work as a team to swing. The glider is a fun accessory for kids to enjoy social play together.
