The Penshurst Climbing Frame from Selwood Products

The Penshurst climbing frame is designed with medium sized gardens in mind as it includClimbing Frame Installeres a lot of popular accessories. The Penshurst is not one of the largest playsets in the Selwood climbing frame range however, Selwood also offer more compact play frames than the Penshurst too, for smaller gardens.

Selwood climbing frames are designed to stand on top of grass or a safety floor, as opposed to being sunken into the ground like some other play frames can be. Selwood playsets stand on top of the ground so therefore must be installed in a flat area of your garden to ensure they are stable and secure enough for children to play on.

Although climbing frames from Selwood Products are produced with an instruction manual for self-assembly, you may still wish to have someone come and professionally install your playset for you. Our experienced climbing frame installers understand that not everybody is confident with DIY or has the time to construct their own play frame so why not take advantage of our professional installation service. Our certified playset builders have experience assembling play frames from Selwood and many other well-known climbing frame manufacturers including Play Crazy, Plum Products, Dunster House, Jungle Gym, Action, Costco, NI, Wickey Toys and many more.

Climbing Frame BuilderThe Penshurst play frame from Selwood is similar to the Brightside climbing frame, the Perth, the Osborn, the Ridgeview Deluxe and the Duke playset to name a few from Selwood. Selwood offer a wide range of climbing frames with different combinations of activities to keep kids amused, plus a lot of Selwood’s playsets feature popular accessories including the combined monkey bar swing beams, picnic stools, play cabins and so on.

The Penshurst climbing frame features a wooden play fort with a play deck for children to climb to using the rockwall ladder at the back of the playset. The play deck is spacious enough for several children to play in at once plus it also includes a chalkwall for games, drawing and writing on. The play deck is partially enclosed by walls and railings to keep children safe while playing in the upper play cabin. The play deck is also covered by a solid wooden roof which provides shelter from direct sunlight so kids can stay cool on hot sunny days, as well as keeping the play deck dry.

Beneath the play deck there is a second enclosed play cabin. The lower wooden playhouse is sheltered by the play deck plus it is a great place for kids to play in any weather and keep other outdoor toys in too. The lower play cabin includes access at the back of the play frame and also a window/hatch at the front of the play fort. The window doubles up as a picnic bench as there are picnic stools on the outside of the play cabin so kids can sit and have a rest between play or even a picnic. The window/hatch may also inspire fun games like cafes and restaurants or shopping too.

The slide at the front of the climbing frame provides a fun way for children to exit the play deck. Slides can provide hours of fun and is an exciting way for kids to get down to the ground. The slide included in the Penshurst playset is moulded with high edges to help prevent accidents and ensure children reach the bottom of the slide safely.

To one side of the play fort is the monkey bars which are a great way for kids to develop their strength and coordination skills on. Monkey bars can be a challenging activity but are a brilliant way to keep older children interested and confident climbers amused. Monkey bars are a popular climbing frame accessory and are featured in many of Selwood’s climbing frames. To the other side of the play fort is the swing set. The swing beam features two flexible belt swings plus a trapeze bar for added variety to the playset. Trapeze bars are a popular swing to include and kids can have great fun balancing and developing their strength. The flexible belt swings are designed to help children stay safe and balanced on the swing as the belt flexes around their hips.
