We offer an installation service, many customers will expect that we say yes is can be hard to build and then try to take your money and win a new job, however we do not like this idea and will tell the truth. Its not the easiest to install and doing it yourself could take a few days if not more and you will need to have a friend.
Starting off from picking up the kit in the first place, Costco have just started sending it to customers from the online store however are trying to avoid this and pushing customers into stores, this will mean that you will have to hire a van and take a friend to collect it.
You will have to collect 6 large, heavy boxes. 3 are the size of the average adult male, 2 are 5ft square but only half a foot deep in size and one is a cube of 4 half foot square.
The first day customers tend to get the boxes out, read the manual, maybe look through the CD with build and installation instruction and then start on the wood. Putting it out in the garden is daunting and confusing so make sure you know where it all is or its in order of the packing list in the manual so when it asks for A1 you know where that is and you don’t pick up another code. Sorting the bolts and screws can be an even larger maze would you tell the difference between 2.5inch and 3inch screws or 1.5inch and 1/18 inch wood screws, its millimeters.
Customers have taken over 3 days to install one of these playsets, and one has even documented the build with pictures and times online in America. This is a true representation of an average customer dedicated to an installation, however, take note of the installation time for him and think would it be money well spent asking us to install your Costco Cedar Summit when it can take up to 19 hours ‘build time’ to get as far as attaching the slide and swing and if your have your kids asking when it will be done could feel a lot longer.
