The ‘Perth’ Climbing Frame, New to Selwood Products
Selwood Products offer a wide selection of chidlren’s climbing frames to choose from manufactured using premium cedar wood. Selwood playsets cater for different gardens from small areas to larger gardens and look fantastic in any garden. The cedar wood used to build Selwood play frames is treated using a protective stain. The red stain protects the wood and also gives climbing frames from Selwood their distinctive dark copper colour.

Our professional playset installers have experience building climbing frames from Play Crazy, Dunster House, Action, Costco, Plum Products, NI, Jungle Gym, Wickey and of course Selwood Products. We understand that although Selwood climbing frames are designed for self-assembly it can be difficult to find the time to build your playset. Our experienced team can take away the stress of DIY and ensure your play frame is installed correctly and safe for kids to play on.
The Perth climbing frame, new to the Selwood Products range features a solid wooden play fort with both an upper and lower enclosed play cabin for children to play in. It also includes a slide, picnic stools, a solid wooden roof, a rockwall ladder and a combined monkey bar swing beam module.
The Perth playset is similar to other climbing frames from which include either the popular monkey bar swing set or an upper and lower play cabin together such as the Hope, The Kinross, the Rendle Fort, the Woodchester, the Bourne, the Osborn, the Belton climbing frame and more. The Perth climbing frame features the solid wooden play fort which includes a raised playhouse for children to climb to as well as an enclosed lower play cabin too. The enclosed play cabins make the play tower more solid than some other play frames from Selwood which only include an upper play cabin for example. The Perth play frame includes a raised play deck enclosed by solid wooden walls as well as railings plus a roof which makes it into a play house for kids to climb to. The solid wooden roof covers the play deck and offer some shelter and protection from harsh sunlight on hot sunny days. The roof helps keep the play fort shaded so little ones can stay cool while playing.
The rockwall ladder at the back of the playset can be used to climb to the play deck. The rockwall ladder is another great combined accessory featured in many of Selwood’s climbing frames. The rockwall ladder combines a rockwall and a step ladder in one so more confident climbers can challenge themselves using just the rockwall hand and foot grips but younger ones or less confident climbers can have the step ladder as back up. This helps children of all abilities reach the raised playhouse safely.
The play cabin underneath the play deck is fully enclosed by wooden walls around the edges. The play cabin features a window/serving hatch at the front of the climbing frame which also acts as a picnic bench too as there are stools on the outside of the play cabin. The lower play cabin features a door at the back of the playset and a window at the side with its very own window box for children to grow their own flowers in. The picnic stools and serving hatch come in handy and also can inspire lots of fun games such as cafes and restaurants, shops etc.
At the front of the Perth climbing frame is the slide which provide a fun way for kids to exit the play deck. The slide is a popular climbing frame accessory which can be thoroughly enjoyed and children will love zooming down from the play deck. The slide features high edges to help keep little ones on track so they can reach the bottom of the slide safely. It is advised that young children are supervised whilst playing anyway. It is also important to ensure that there is an adequate amount of space or a safe zone at the bottom of the slide to makes sure children can safely land at the end of the slide with no obstacles in the way.
The Perth play frame also features a combined monkey bar swing set at the side of the play tower which is similar to the Kinross climbing frame. The Perth features two swing positions in the monkey bar swing beam module just like The Kinross. The swing seats are designed as flexible belt swings to grip children around the hips and keep them safely balanced on the swing.
Climbing frames are a fantastic way for children to stay healthy and active and are a great way to encourage kids to make the most of the garden, especially in spring/summer. Children’s play frames are also a brilliant way for kids to develop new skills and explore outdoors so get your now!
