The ‘Tower 2 Swing X’tra’ Climbing Frame from Jungle Gym
The Tower 2 Swing X’tra climbing frame is very similar to the Tower Balcony playset from Jungle Gym also. The Tower X’tra is a compact play frame designed to suit small gardens and most aimed at younger children.
The Tower X’tra climbing frame is pretty to look at and includes fun activities to keep little amused for hours. The Tower X’tra features a wooden play fort with a play deck for kids to climb to, a swing set, a slide, a step ladder and a sandbox. The difference between the Tower X’tra playset and the Tower Balcony is that the Tower Balcony climbing frame includes a lookout box on the side of the play fort which expands the play deck, whereas the Tower X’tra does not.
The Tower X’tra features a relatively small play deck which is why this play frame is suitable for smaller gardens. The play deck is railed around the outside to ensure little ones are kept safe and it open-topped so does not feature a roof like some other climbing frames from Jungle Gym include.
Children can climb to the play deck using the step ladder at the back of the climbing frame and they can whizz down the slide at the front of the climbing frame to get down again. This is a great form of exercise for kids and they will love the exciting ride down from the play deck using the slide. It is important to ensure that there is a safe zone at the bottom of your slide with enough space and no obstacles so kids can land safely. The slide is moulded to ensure the edges keep little ones on track as they slide down to help them reach the bottom of the slide safely.
The Tower X’tra’s play fort also includes other safety features just as all the Jungle Gym climbing frames do, including handles at the top of the step ladder and the slide for kids to hold onto, plus a bumper pad at the top of the slide. The bumper pad is a soft cushion on the wood to prevent any bumps and scrapes as children climb onto the slide.
Underneath the play deck is the perfect place for a sandpit. The sandbox boards around the bottom of the play tower are already in place so you can give your little ones a sandbox to play in if you wish. Sandboxes are a great activity for younger children to enjoy and even younger siblings in the family who are not yet old enough to climb can join in with a sandbox to play in. However this space can come in handy for lots of other things as well as a sandbox if you wish to use it for something else.
To one side of the play fort is the swing set which includes two swing seats so two children can swing together at once. The swing seats are normal plastic rigid swing seats that kids will love playing on.
