The Cubby 1-Swing X’tra climbing frame features a two-tiered play fort for children to climb with a roofed play deck plus an open topped higher play platform too. This play frame also includes a wavy slide, a swing beam, a climbing wall and space for a sandbox.
The two-tiered play fort is a spacious wooden play tower with two play platforms for kids to climb to using the climbing wall to the side of the playset. At the back of the play fort is the lower play deck which is railed around the edge to keep children safe while climbing. The lower play deck is also covered by a solid wooden roof which provides some shelter in the play fort and also shade for children to stay cool on hot sunny days. The higher play deck is at the front of the play frame and children can climb from the smaller to the higher play platform. The higher tier is not sheltered by the roof so appears like more of a balcony area for kids to climb to. This play deck is also enclosed by chunky wooden railings to prevent tumbles.
Underneath the play deck there is an open play space which is the perfect spot for a sandbox if you have younger children in the family. The sandbox boards are already in place around the bottom of the play fort and a sandbox is ideal for even small children in the family to enjoy. However if a sandbox will not suit you, the space sheltered by the play deck can be used for a number of different things including a seating area or even a great place to keep other toys from cluttering up the garden.
To the side of the play fort is the swing set which features a normal rigid swing seat. There is only one swing to save space and make this play frame suitable for smaller gardens however it can encourage children to share and think about others so everyone gets a turn, and there are plenty of other activities included in the Cubby 1-Swing X’tra to keep kids entertained.
Last but not least is the wavy slide at the front of the play fort which provides an exciting way for kids to exit the play deck. The wavy slide is a fun way down from the play deck and the little bump in the middle of the slide adds to the ride.
