The Cubby Climb X’tra climbing frame from Jungle Gym is a fun-filled play frame with a wide selection of activities that kids will love. The Cubby Climb X’tra is designed with medium to large sized gardens in mind however Jungle Gym do stock playsets which are suitable for smaller gardens also. The Cubby Climb X’tra features a two-tiered play fort which is very similar to the Cubby 1-Swing X’tra play frame, also from Jungle Gym. The Cubby Climb X’tra is very similar to the Cubby 1-Swing X’tra except it is slightly larger as it includes the addition of a climbing wall A-frame.
The Cubby Climb X’tra climbing frame features the two-tiered spacious wooden play fort plus a wavy slide, a climbing wall and a sandbox. It also
includes a swing beam with the addition of an A-frame at the end of the swing beam which features a climbing net on one side and a rockwall on the other with a platform in the middle for children to climb to.
This jam packed climbing frame will definitely keep boredom at bay and provides a wide variety of different activities for children to develop new skills. The two-tiered play fort features a smaller play deck at the back of the play frame with a higher platform at the front for children to climb to. The smaller play deck is covered by a solid wooden roof which can help keep children out of the sun and cooler on hot days. The higher play deck at the front of the play fort is not under the roof and is more of a balcony area which is railed around the edge to keep kids safe. Children can climb to the play decks using the climbing wall at the side of the play fort.
The slide at the front of the play frame provides a fun way or children to get down from the play deck and the wave in the middle of the slide adds a bit of speed to the ride down making the slide an extra fun accessory. It is important to leave adequate space around the bottom of the slide to ensure children have enough room to land at the bottom safely. Underneath the play deck there is space for a sandbox which can add another activity to your climbing frame for even younger members in the family to enjoy. Like most of the Jungle Gym play frames, the sandbox boards are already in place around the base of the play fort.
To the side of the play fort is the swing beam which features one swing and includes the A-frame at the end. Therefore the swing seat sits inbetween the play fort and the A-frame. The A-frame features a slanted rockwall on the front side and a cargo net on the other side with a small platform at the top of both of these for children to climb to. The A-frame provides the Cubby Climb X’tra play frame with more challenging activities that kids can develop new skills on including coordination skills, strength and even problem solving skills.
