Climbing Frame Storage Advise

Tips on how to store climbing frame

As Climbing Frame Installers we advise that before we arrive all the parts for your outdoor climbing frame are stored in a dry/safe place. We advise this as we understand that you want the frame up as soon as possible and being stored incorrectly will slow this process down for us.

If the outdoor play sets are left outside, and not stored correctly before our arrival this can sometimes make the process longer in assembling the climbing frame. Even when the packaging is put under shelter from the rain the wood can still become moist from the rain causing it to become damp in its packaging which is not ideal when coming to build the outdoor climbing frame.

When your outdoor climbing frame arrives, check that all the wood is in good condition and that there is no damage to the exterior of box as this can sometimes occur when being off lifted causing damage to the wood.  If you are unhappy with the condition of the play-set then contact the manufacturer immediately and they will be able to assist you with this.

Below is an example of how not to store your climbing frame, they need to be laid flat on arrival and not against a wall as this can cause the wood to bow which can sometimes make it unusable.
