Climbing Frame InstallerIf your looking at buying a climbing frame from any of the top manufacturer like Selwood Products, Plum Products, Action Climbing Frames then you might be looking to have your playset installed and this is where we come in and it is important to get the ground work right. We will always charge a job rate meaning we have enough experience now we know how long your climbing frames will take to build so you can work that into a budget rather than a local builder or Handyman will charge a day rate which will encourage them to take longer to earn maximum profit from each customer.

Climbing Frame InstallerThe groundwork of your playset is very important, we would normally advise leaving it on level grass unless you really want to build a playpit. If you do decide to have it in a bark area have a think about costs, do not cut corners and not take out all the bushes thinking they will squeeze in or tree trunks which will rot and in time make the playset wobble or put stress on the climbing frames supports. You do have a couple of options from putting a border around the playset and then filling the area or digging down and then backfilling the area so that the ground is then level, however roots and obstructions even if they are covered need to be dealt with to avoid future problems.

If your building a playset the first and most important thing to look for is the ground and stability problems that will occur whilst building and into the future to avoid problems and

it becoming dangerous in the future. The cost of bark could cost you more and give you more work rather than putting the playset onto grass. Rubber mulch and bark does cost more but when we fit it correctly will avoid the problems with natural wooden bark like it turning into compost and also being used as the local toilet by local animals. Mites and bugs will live in the area and then attack anything that disturbs the area like your child wanting to play. We would always suggest rubber mulch or bark if your building a play pit or just keep your grass nice and green like a product of rubber granules which will soak into the grass and slowly release hormones and allow aeration. Is thick grass is smoother than shark dirty bark?
