After spending what might feel like a life time searching for the right playset for  your children that will not only fit the garden but your budget you might want to consider the surface your climbing frame will be installed on.

We can do playset installations and play pits for you and have done around England, ranging from Rubber borders to railway sleepers but we do however always use the same rubber chippings and bark, why because no matter the price its the safety of your children we have at mind. We do not risk safety by cutting corners and shopping from cheaper products or alternatives

Rubber Bark, this is the best product that not only looks very good its allows for decent coverage without sharp edges and smaller bits to dig into hands. Rubber chippings are less to buy than the bark and supply a very good platform of safety.

We do not fit or use “natural bark” we do not like it, the bark shrinks and breaks down and needs maintenance. The bark can break down and makes a perfect environment for all sorts of bugs that would normally live in a forest. This is not ideal when your thinking about the children.

Rubber mats can work and are good for putting under ladders and the slide, very hard wear and tear areas. You do have to remember however if you do not cover the whole play area it will stand up from the floor and could add a trip hazard when your trying to keep your children safe. The alternative product to this could be rubber crumb which you sprinkle around the climbing frame. If you can keep your grass green and strong then this is better than allowing it to turn to mud and let the sun make it hard and crisp.
