The Penshurst is designed with medium sized gardens in mind as it features a wooden play fort as well as both a swing beam and monkey bar module. Some climbing frames in the Selwood range feature the popular combined monkey bar swing set which saves space for those with a smaller garden, however the Penshurst includes these two activities as separate modules which are great if you have the space for it.
Monkey bars are a great way for children to develop strength and coordination and also improve their confidence too. Th
e monkey bars can be exciting for older children who can test out their strength but they are also a fantastic accessory for younger ones to aspire to.
The swing set included with the Penshurst play frame features two flexible belt swings as well as a trapeze bar. The flexible belt swings are designed to help little ones stay safely balanced on the swing as it holds onto hips when children sit on the swing. The trapeze bar also adds variation to the swing set so little ones won’t get bored.
The main part of the Penshurst play frame is the play fort which the swing beam and monkey bars are attached to. The main
play tower features a wooden play deck for children to climb to, as well as an enclosed lower play cabin, a slide and picnic stools. The play deck is sheltered by the wooden roof which covers the play tower. The deck is also enclosed by a combination of wooden railings and fully enclosed walls to keep children safe while playing. The upper play house even includes a chalk board so kids can practice writing and drawing.
Little ones can climb to the play deck using the rockwall ladder at the back of the play fort or the monkey bars. The rockwall ladder offers two activities in the space of one which are designed to cater to different climbing abilities and capabilities. The rockwall hand and foot grips used by themselves provide a more challenging climb so confident climbers can test their coordination skills, whereas the ladder steps ensure less confident climbers can reach the play deck safely also.
Beneath the play deck there is an enclosed lower play cabin, sheltered by the play deck itself making it a fantastic space for children to play in. The lower play cabin includes an opening at the back of the playset and even features a shop front with picnic stools at the front. The shop front doubles up as a picnic bar which is a handy space for kids to have a drink or snack between play.
The front of the climbing frame features the slide which is a very popular climbing frame accessory. The slide included with the Penshurst climbing frame is a straight slide but it is moulded with high edges to help keep little ones safe when going down the slide. The slide can provide hours of fun for your little ones and is a great way for them to be able to exit the play deck.
