The Lodge Climb X’tra playset from Jungle Gym is designed with medium to large sized gardens in mind as it features a wide range of fun accessories to keep children amused with. The Lodge Climb X’tra will certainly keep boredom at bay and is a great way to encourage children to play outdoors and stay fit and active.
Climbing frames from Jungle Gym are designed to stand on top of grass or a safety surface as opposed to being sunken into the ground like play frames from some other manufacturers are designed for. Jungle Gym play frames therefore need to be installed on a flat piece of ground to ensure they are stable and secure enough for children to play safely.
The Lodge Climb X’tra features a wooden play fort with a play deck for kids to climb to as well as a slide, rockwall and climbing ladder. The play fort 
includes a platform for children to climb to with ample space for several children to play in at once. The play deck is enclosed by chunky wooden railings to keep little ones safe and it is also sheltered by a tarpaulin roof so the play fort is protected from wet weather and direct sunlight on hot sunny days.
Children can climb to the play deck using either the rockwall at the front of the play fort or the step ladder at the back. The step ladder provides a less challenging way for younger children or less confident climbers to reach the play deck safely whereas the rockwall is a slightly harder climb so kids can test their own climbing skills and coordination.
The Lodge Climb X’tra climbing frame also includes a wavy slide at the front of the play tower which provides a fun way for children to exit the play deck. Wavy slides are a popular climbing frame accessory as they provide an even more exciting ride down with the wave in the middle. The slide is a great way for children to get down to ground again after they have climbed to the play deck and it can provide hours of fun.
The Lodge Climb X’tra also features a climbing ladder for little ones to develop strength and improve their climbing skills on. The climbing ladder is adjoined to the side of the main play tower and features multi-colour steps that give the playset some colour.
Underneath the play deck there is a perfect space to install a sandpit if you have younger children in the family. Sand boxes are a great way to get younger children involved and a brilliant way for little ones to stay amused. The sandbox boards around the base of the play tower are already in place making it easy to install.
To one side of the play fort there is a swing beam between the main play tower itself and the A-frame on the other side of the swing beam. The single swing in the middle is a normal plastic belt swing which provides some variety to the play frame, and swings are a very popular accessory that kids love! The A-frame on the other side of the swing beam features a rockwall on one side and a cargo net on the other side with a small platform at the top for kids to climb to. The platform is enclosed at the sides with handles for kids to hold onto and help them climb up plus there is also a bumper pad at the top to prevent bumps and scrapes.
