Climbing frames from Selwood are engineered from cedar wood which creates attractive looking playsets that look great in your garden. The cedar wood is treated with a red stain which protects the wood from being weathered and is used to help increase the life span of Selwood play frames. The Brightside play frame features a wooden play tower with a platform that children can climb to. The play deck is enclosed with wooden railings around the outside to keep little ones safe from tumbles plus it also features a chalk board on the back wall of the play fort. The play deck is covered by a tarpaulin roof which is not only waterproof, it provide shelter from direct sunlight on hot sunny days so children can stay cool.
Kids can climb to the play deck using either the rockwall ladder at the front of the climbing frame or the monkey bars at the back of the play fort. The rockwall ladder is a popular accessory used in a wide range of Selwood’s play frames. The rockwall ladder is designed as two activities in one to save space in gardens plus it provides a challenging climb and an easier one for children to build confidence on. The rockwall grips used on their own provide the more challenging climb to the play deck so kids can test their climbing skills and coordination.
The Brightside playset also features a slide at the front of the play tower which provides little ones with an exciting way to exit the play deck. Slides are a very popular climbing frame accessory and can provide hours of fun too. The slide is even designed with safe edges to help keep kids on track down the slide and reach the bottom of the slide safely.
Beneath the play deck there is space for a sandbox which is quick and easy to install. The sandbox boards are already in place around the base of the play fort and therefore this is the ideal place to have one. Sandboxes can be a great way for younger children to stay amused however, they are not for everyone and this space can still be utilised well should you choose not to include a sandbox.
To one side of the sandbox there is a picnic bar with seats for children to play at or even to stop for lunch or a snack. The picnic bar is a handy accessory as a place for kids to rest between play and it can even inspire fun games such as cafes and restaurants or shops etc. The picnic bar includes its very own tarpaulin canopy too, to match the tarpaulin roof on the top of the play tower.
Last but not least is the swing set at the side of the play tower. The swing set includes two flexible swing seats plus a trapeze bar which a fun way for kids to develop strength and balance on.
