Installing a Play Crazy Double Tower Climbing Frame

IMAG0699Wooden climbing frames by Play Crazy are made with strong robust timbers which provide a natural look to their playsets so they will look fantastic in any garden. The wooden timbers used to construct Play Crazy play frames are very heavy which provides Play Crazy climbing frames with a commercial strength grade.

Climbing frames are prepared for self-assembly although in general will require two people to assemble and can be time consuming. Play Crazy climbing frames are also designed to be concreted into the ground which increases their stability and therefore the safety of the play frames too. Our certified climbing frame installers are available to professionally install climbing frames from Play Crazy and most other well-known play frames manufacturers. Our playset builders have years of experience and can ensure your playset is correctly and safely installed.

Double Tower climbing frames from Play Crazy are generally designed with medium to large size gardens in mind just simply due to the play forts being wide and spacious so a group of children can play on them at once. For smaller gardens or play areas, Play Crazy do stock single tower climbing frames which are more suited to smaller areas. The Bambi climbing frame or the Spud play frame from Play Crazy are examples of single tower play frames. Double Tower climbing frames can include slightly more activities to amuse kids and grip their attention plus two play forts to climb on.

IMAG0697The Double Tower and swing set pictured from Play Crazy features two solid wooden play towers which both include a solid wooden roof to shelter the play deck and offer protection from direct sunlight on hot sunny days. The roofs can shelter the play deck but also keep the play fort shaded on a hot summer’s day therefore kids can stay cool and play happily. Both play forts include a spacious play deck for kids to climb to which are railed around the outside with chunky wooden railings to keep little ones safe.

The first play tower of this double tower playset features a rockwall at the back for children to climb to the play deck, plus a slide and a fireman’s pole, and even a picnic bench beneath the play deck. The slide and the fireman’s pole provide children with two different ways of exiting the play deck. The slide is an extra fun ride down and is a very popular climbing frame accessory. The picnic bench beneath the play deck is also sheltered and will be shaded in the summer so kids will have a cool place to sit and rest between play or have a picnic and socialise.

The two play towers are joined by a wooden bridge between the two play decks so children can run from one to the other. The bridge is enclosed by safety netting so you can be confident kids are safe while climbing. The second play tower includes a step ladder plus a cargo net and an enclosed play cabin underneath the play deck. The cargo net at the back of the play frame is a more challenging climb than the step ladder therefore this tower caters to different ages and climbing abilities. Less confident climbers can use the step ladder to still reach the play deck safely. The play cabin beneath the play deck is a great sheltered play house for kids to play together. The play cabin has ample room for several children and even other outdoor toys.

Joined to the second play tower is the swing set which includes a three position swing beam. The double tower playset pictured here includes a tyre swing plus two plastic moulded swings however Play Crazy do offer a wide range of swing seats to choose from.

Climbing frames are a great way for children to stay physically active and amused for hours on end. Play equipment encourages children to play outdoors more and get plenty of fresh air and exercise and are a great way of preventing boredom at weekends, after school, during the school holidays and when friends come round to play.
