The ‘Tower Balcony’ Climbing Frame from Jungle Gym Backyard Playgrounds

Tower Balcony Climbing Frame Jungle GymThe Tower Balcony climbing frame is a relatively simple but fun filled playset from Jungle Gym. Designed with smaller gardens in mind this compact play frame is based on a children’s first climbing frame to give younger children a confidence boost.

The Tower Balcony’s play fort is small so it is less daunting for younger climbers and it also includes an enclosed lookout box as well as a play deck to climb to. The Tower Balcony playset also features a swing set, a slide, a step ladder and space for a sandbox.

Climbing frames are a great way of encouraging children to play outside and stay physically active. It is important that children have a balance between indoor and outdoor play, and outdoor play equipment such as climbing frames can give children something to keep them amused in the garden.

Garden playsets particularly get more use this time of year as you can make the most of your garden in the nice weather. Kids will love exploring outside and can develop new skills on a climbing frame that they perhaps wouldn’t indoors. Children’s play frames are also a fantastic way to prevent boredom in the long summer holidays, making them a great investment for your family.

Although climbing frames from Jungle Gym are designed to be self-assembled at home, our team of professional climbing frame installers understand it can be hard to find the time especially if you have not assembled a play frame before. We provide a professional installation service for those who simply do not have the time or are not confident with DIY, and will ensure your playset is installed quickly and safely.

Our climbing frame installers have over 8 years’ experience installing children’s playsets from popular manufacturers including Selwood Products, NI Climbing Frames, Costco, Action, Dunster House, Plum Products, Play Crazy and Jungle Gym.

The Tower Balcony climbing frame from Jungle Gym features a compact wooden play fort with a play deck for children to climb to. The play deck is railed around the outside to keep little ones safe but it is not covered by a roof like many other climbing frames from Jungle Gym are. The play deck features hand grips for children to grab onto when they are climbing and there are handles at the top of the slide for kids to hold onto as well. The Tower Balcony also features a bumper pad at the top of the slide to keep children safe from bumps and scrapes.

Next to the play deck is a second play deck/lookout box. The lookout box is also enclosed around the outside but open-topped so kids can see out across the garden. The lookout box makes the play deck more spacious so more than one child can be on the play fort at one time.

Children can climb to the play deck using the step ladder at the back of the play frame whilst the slide at the front of the playset provides a fun way to exit the play deck. The slide is a popular climbing frame accessory which kids will love to whizz down. Please ensure that there are no obstacles at the bottom of your slide and there should be adequate space for children to land safely. You should take this into account when choosing a playset and measuring up your garden.

The Tower Balcony play frame also includes a two position swing set with two rigid plastic swing seats. Kids will love swinging two at a time and swings provide great variation to a climbing frame too. Lastly, underneath the play deck is the perfect place for a sandbox. As this play frame is designed with younger children in mind, a sandbox can be a fun additional accessory to include. The sandbox boards are already in place underneath the play deck, however this space can be used for lots of other things if you do not wish to add a sandpit.

Climbing frames from Jungle Gym and other manufacturers including Selwood Products and Plum are designed to stand on top of grass or a safety surface as opposed to being dug in or concreted into the ground like some play frames are designed for. This means that Jungle Gym play frames need to be installed on a flat area of grass or a flat safety floor in your garden. Climbing frames from NI or Play Crazy for example which can be sunken into the ground and concreted for more stability can suit more uneven gardens.
