The Selwood Stowe Climbing Frame

Selwood Products

The Stowe climbing frame from Selwood Products is designed with medium to large sized

gardens in mind for children up to ten years of age.

The Stowe playset is packed with fun activities to keep kids active and amused, including a

wooden play fort, rockwall, ladder, a slide, swing set and a handy picnic bench.

Selwood’s climbing frames are delivered ready for self-assembly but our team of climbing

frame installers recognise that not everyone has the time or confidence to build a DIY play

frame.

Our professional team of play set builders are experienced in assembling wooden climbing

frames from manufacturers including Dunster House, Play Crazy, NI Climbing Frames, Plum

Products, Action and of course Selwood Products. We aim to offer a professional, affordable

installation service.

The Stowe climbing frame features a wooden play fort which is similar to those of the

Balmoral Fort and the Morton play frame, also from Selwood Products. The Stowe’s play

fort includes a partially enclosed play deck for children to climb to. The play deck is partially

enclosed to keep children safe but they can also see out across the garden and enjoy the

view from the play fort.

The play deck is covered by a green vinyl roof with yellow sunburst detailing at the front and

the back. The detailed roof provides some protection from wind and rain as well as UV light

when children are playing on then play fort.

The rockwall ladder at the back of the climbing frame provides a way for children to climb to

the play deck. The rockwall hand and foot grips present a challenging climb whilst the ladder

parts ensure that even less confident climbers can reach the play deck safely.

Similar to the Morton climbing frame from Selwood, the Stowe features a swing set with

two single belt swings and a two seater glider swing. The Morton climbing frame is very

similar to the Stowe. The play forts of both these playsets are very similarly designed.

The only big difference is that the Stowe play frame has a straight slide at the front of its

play fort, whereas the Morton climbing frame has a curved slide at the side of its play tower.

The Stowe climbing frame also features a wooden picnic bench which can sit underneath

the play deck. Under the play deck, the picnic area is sheltered and provides kids with a

place to rest between play or snack or even play games or for arts and crafts. Other playsets

from Selwood that include a picnic bench are the Morton climbing frame, the Ramsey, the

Barrington, the Helsby and many more.

Selwood products’ children’s playsets are designed to stand on top of grass or a surface

such as a safety floor. If you are concerned about the safeness of your climbing frame, talk

to our climbing frame installers about types of safety flooring.

Like playsets from Selwood, climbing frames from Dunster House and Plum Products for

example are also designed to sit on top of the ground. Play frames from Play Crazy and NI

however can be sunken in and concreted into the ground to increase their stability.
