The Maine Climbing Frame, Selwood Products

Selwood Maine

The Maine climbing frame is new to Selwood Product’s range of playsets. This activity filled

play frame features a main play fort with accessories and a swing set.

Climbing frames are an excellent way to keep children fit and healthy whilst also providing a

lot of fun and enjoyment for your family.

The Maine climbing frame includes a sturdy wooden play fort, a play deck with a wooden

floor, a tarpaulin waterproof roof plus a slide and rockwall as well as a swing set assembled

onto the side of the play fort.

The Maine’s swing set includes two single belt swings which are designed to be flexible so

they are safer as they grip onto children’s hips. It also includes a two seater glider swing

which children can play on together and learn to work in harmony to swing.

The Maine playset from Selwood features a partially enclosed wooden playhouse which

children can see out of but it is still safe enough to prevent any accidents. It is covered by a

waterproof roof which provides some protection from wind and rain and will keep kids out

of direct sunlight in summer when playing in the playhouse.

The play deck is reached using the rockwall ladder at the back of the play frame. The ladder

part enables less confident climbers to happily climb to the play deck and the rockwall grips

make for a challenging climb for older children.

The Maine climbing frame features a vinyl chalk wall in the playhouse for children to get

creative on as do many other of the Selwood playsets including the Meadowside, the Holt

and the Andorra climbing frames to name just a few. This is an excellent tool for children to

practice their writing and drawing on.

The Maine playset, new to Selwood is similar to the Woodchester climbing frame as it

features a play fort with a slide at the front and a rockwall ladder at the back as well as a

swing set in a similar layout. The big differences between the Maine climbing frame and the

Woodchester is that the Maine has a tarpaulin roof as opposed to a solid wooden one.

Another difference between the Maine play frame and the Woodchester is that the Maine

only includes a swing set, but the Woodchester has a swing and monkey bar combo set all in

one. Therefore if your children are particular fans of the monkey bars or would like a

challenge then the Woodchester could be another alternative to the Maine climbing frame.

Another playset from Selwood Products that the Maine climbing frame is similar to is the

Windale. This play frame is similar in that it includes a main play fort with a straight slide at

the front and also a swing set with both the single swings and a glider like the Maine’s swing

The difference between the Windale and the Maine playsets is that the Maine does not

include a picnic bench at the side of the play fort like the Windale does, and the Windale has

a solid wooden roof as opposed to a tarpaulin one.
