Selwood Duchess Climbing Frame Review

Climbing Frames UK PLayset buildersThe Selwood Duchess wooden climbing frame most commonly seen through the linked company to Selwood, Climbing Frames UK has a single tower, double slide frame unit. This is part of the starting frames for small children the Olympia play centers. Its ideal for the small garden with small young children. It does not have the swing unit or monkey bars like the Duke model, its larger partner. It has a double wavey slide, rockwall ladder and is built from stained cedar wood so will need staining in the future to keep it looking its best dependent on weather conditions.
The frames deck high is just 1.2m which is 4ft from the ground and has a vinyl wipe clean chalk board. The deck is 118.7cm x 89.53cm. This is around 1msq of raised platform. The enclosed cabin underneath does add a lot of stability and stops the set moving around. You do not get a door in it like the Windale or Costco Cedar Summit however is a full cabin, the Windale and Cedar Summit do not seem to have the rear wall enclosing the cabin.
The fort sits on the gound level, it does come with stakes which can work to avoid the set moving around the floor too much but you will need the climbing frame to bed itself into the ground.
This playset is designed for children aged between 3 and 11 years of age (inclusive) who individually weigh no more than 50kg (110lbs). The set is designed and tested (EN-71 & ASTM) to meet requirements for private residential use – this set is not suitable for commercial use.
